LG G7 ThinQ is coming soon and the company is leaving no stone unturned to gather all the hype around the smartphone as it can and while the LG G7 ThinQ was earlier reported to comes with a notch-display, it has been now confirmed that it will also feature 'Boombox Speaker' and DTS:X 3D surround sound for better audio experience.

For the unknown, the LG G7 ThinQ is already expected to be launched on May 2 and ahead of its launch, LG has confirmed that it will ship its next flagship with Boombox Speaker' and DTS:X 3D surround sound which will offer double the bass and ten times louder audio experience than a normal smartphone.

These new audio-focused features seem to be designed in order to counter the Samsung Galaxy S9-series which comes with stereo speakers that are tuned by AKG and also has Dolby Atmos integration. On the other hand, the audio features of the LG G7 ThinQ will help deliver a high-end stereoscopic sound which is touted to be similar to that of a movie theatre which features 7.1-channel speakers and that too without the need of an advanced earphone.

According to a blog post by LG, the Boombox Speaker will increase the sound levels by more than 6dB and the built-in speaker will double the bass production. Moreover, LG has claimed that when the LG G7 ThinQ will be kept on a table or a box, it will transform into a large woofer while resonating the sound.

LG reportedly enabled the Boombox Speaker with the LG G7 ThinQ by using the extra space left on the smartphone as a resonance chamber which helps to amplify sound as well as uplift bass levels, as reported by PhoneArena.

On the other hand, the DTS:X 3D surround sound technology is said to enhance dialogue quality while watching movies in order to offer a more immersive content. Further, the technology will also work with regular headphones as well as earphones and doesn't require any advanced audio devices to create the 3D surround sound experience.

Apart from all this, the LG G7 ThinQ will also come with a Hi-Fi Quad DAC which will lower down the harmonic distortion to just 0.0002 per cent and convert digital sound signals to audible analog sound signals. The smartphone will also include support for MAQ format which will enable high-quality and high-fidelity streaming while consuming less data consumption.

Coming to the specifications, the LG G7 ThinQ is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. On the other hand, camera duties are said to be handled by an AI-enabled dual camera setup at the rear featuring two 16-megapixel sensors and also offering HDR 10 support for recording and video playback.
